New Service Menu‼️ “That Thing” we’re ob $New Service Menu‼️ “That Thing” we’re obsessed with is giving you the facials of your dreams I am so excited about our new service menu- but even more so, new devices and ingredients that we have to work with. This clip shows a fraction of the skin care we now have to use to create beautiful, custom, unique to you facials. After attending several trainings on new skin care, I was inspired to change the service menu. Rather than stick to protocols, I really wanted every client to get exactly what they needed for their skin. So protocols went out the window 🪟 and we are focusing strictly on ingredients and client goals. What does this mean for you? 1. That your Aesthetician really knows her stuff 😌😏 and 2. That every treatment really is unique and we have access to every tool/device ingredient at every appointment. Wait-haven’t our treatments always been custom? Yes-ish, they were… but with boundaries. For instance the Oxygen Infusion was its own treatment-but guess what? We can totally pair that with lots of other ingredients. Or what about HydraFacial? Sometimes those pores just need a quick deep clean. HydraFacial extractions (extractions only, not the whole Hydrafacial) are now a part of the options for your facials. This allows us to have the creativity needed to give you what your skin needs without worrying with a bunch of add ons or changing your facial to something else or worrying if it breaks the budget. Ok, let’s talk about the positives/pros

It smelled really good! Lemony fresh 🍋
Turmeric is a natural antioxidant, anti microbial and anti-inflammatory.

Why wouldn’t I use this personally or recommend it?

Turmeric, especially when used in a home made, hand crafted products could cause irritation. It is a spice and could cause some activity on the skin resulting in irritation, sensitivity, redness and itchiness.

Like any active skin care-when overused it could actually cause more harm than good. Clinical grade cleansers are formulated to maintain balance in the skin. You can overuse an active clinical cleanser but typically those cleansers come with instructions from your skin care provider.

Alot of times because a product is “natural” it can be overused and the expectation is that it’s natural so it is better for the skin and can be used as often as you’d like. Not necessarily. Sometimes these types of products can be unpredictable especially when hand crafted and the dosage of turmeric is unknown.

Basically, even a good thing can be overused. But if it’s unpredictable and overused…? 😬😬😬

I also didn’t throw it away for real 😂 I’m going to try it as a body product. I don’t play about my face-we won’t be messing up my skin barrier ✌🏼😂

If your skin is all the sudden sensitive, irritate

If your skin is all the sudden sensitive, irritated, etc., how do you fix this at home?

✨Stop all exfoliation-scrubs and chemical exfoliants
✨Use gentle, cream or oil cleansers like Circadia Vitamin Veil or One Love Organics Botanical B oil cleanser
✨Antioxidants can strengthen the skins barrier. My fav is Circadia Vitamin C Reversal serum, which is also hydrating
✨Hydrators like GlyMed Plus Ultra Hydro Gel will replenish the water loss in skin allowing it to heal
✨Rich Moisturizer like the GlyMed comfort cream is soothing and healing while also protecting the barrier as it heals
✨A balm like the GlyMed Cell Protection Balm locks moisture in, soothes the skin and creates a protective barrier on the skin
✨Of course SPF! I prefer Zinc sunscreens for sensitive skin. Zinc is a mineral that can soothe irritated skin and provides and instant solid protection from the sun. My current’s favs are Circadia Circa-Shield and Elta MD

Using simple skincare that is nourishing will help to heal your skin. Stay away from acids and sulfates that cause irritation. Give your skin 1-2 weeks to fully heal and be back to normal.

Preventing this from happening is also important. Be watchful of how your skin tolerates active ingredients. Start slow with new skincare. Make sure your regimen is well balanced-balance of hydration, moisture, nourishment and actives. This means having a well rounded home care regimen. And most importantly-pay close attention to how your skin is feeling every day! Also-don’t forget to book your appointment with your favorite Aesthetician!

I’ve been seeing a lot of compromised barriers (

I’ve been seeing a lot of compromised barriers (redness, sensitivity) lately. The THREE reasons this is happening:

1. Traveling. Vacationing usually means beach, pool, more sun exposure. I’m seeing a lot of sensitivity around the nose and tops of the cheeks, where the sun hits very easily. Wearing SPF of course, but wearing a wide brimmed hat is also going to help

2. Outdoors. We’re outside (kind of 🥵) more this time of year, we’re more social, at the pool, hiking, enjoying nature. Even walking outside briefly every day can lead to an accumulation of sun exposure.

3. Sensitizing our own skin by use of our active ingredients. Sun exposure + active ingredients can leave us feeling dry and sensitive.

These are some of my favorite beauty items I love for summer!

1. Tower Beauty cream blush & bronzer-best glowy blush!

2. GlyMed hydrate lip balm-stays on forever and treats the skin on the lips

3. My favorite, wear all the time is the frankincense and myrrh spray. It’s has such an earthy, citrusy scent-love!
I favor scents that have more essential oils and earthiness to them-love lemongrass anything and the Dolce & Gabana Garden is my fav for dressing up

4. The curls! Satin scrunchies for sure-protect against my hair getting tangled and pulled. The best foam and gel combo to keep my hair hydrated , hold the curls without being super crunchy

5. I love oil cleansing. I have to say-I love both of these but that One Love Organics cleanser is 😍😍😍

6. Salt Air Body wash-aromatic, gentle and hydrating. The pink smells like summer 🌸🌺🌹
